Stovetop Cooking Instructions
In a medium saucepan combine 1 3/4 cups of water, rice, seasoning packet, and 1 Tbsp. of olive oil (optional). Stir well and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat to low. Do not lift lid while cooking. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
Serving Suggestions
Top prepared Yellow Rice with a heated mixture of drained black beans, chopped chipotle peppers, chopped roasted red bell peppers, and chopped green bell peppers.

I bought the yellow rice as the basis for an asian themed family meal. i opened the spice packet to find....NOTHING! Just an empty foil bag. Kinda expensive for 6oz. of plain white rice.

I bought this product thinking it was only the package that had changed. I MUCH prefer the whole grain brown rice version for the taste, texture and health benefits. I cooked this in my rice cooker like I made the prior version and it's very mushy. Don't like the texture and it doesn't have much flavor. The other one was SO good. Why would you have changed it?

I tried the white regenerative rice and agree with other commenters -it’s mushy, tasteless, and really not good. The spice packet dying the rice yellow is not tasty Please bring back the previous whole grain yellow rice recipe! I’ve eaten Lundberg rice for years and this is not up to your quality. Not at all!

I used to love your Yellow Rice. I agree with the first commenter. This white rice is mushy, no taste, virtually no vegetables, and I won't be buying it again.

United StatesDeeply disappointed with the change from parboiled organic brown rice to regenerative white rice
I am deeply disappointed with the change from parboiled organic brown rice to regenerative white rice. As a natural bodybuilder and health-conscious consumer in general, my goal is to primarily consume whole grain foods. My assumption is the average consumer of Lundberg whole grain rice pilaf products has aligned thinking. I order Lundberg whole grain products, including the box mix (Original, Spanish, Wild Porcini Mushroom, etc.) directly from Lundburg in bulk. Upon my last order, I was extremely unhappy and disheartened with the change. Previously, I ate a box or two of the yellow rice per week. Frankly, I am considering tossing the remaining boxes of the white rice in the trash and will not be ordering more of the white rice boxes. I appreciate the move across the board to regenerative rice, however, I hope Lundburg will consider converting their box with season mix options back to parboiled organic brown rice.
