To substitute sugar, use 1 ¼ cup rice syrup for one cup sugar, using ¼ cup less of another liquid in the recipe.

Bad New Lids
I've been buying (and loving) Lundberg brown rice syrup for several years; however, the most recent purchase was a disaster! The new lids are merely clamp caps and not screw-type caps. In shipping, these let go and release the sticky, gooey, syrup all over the box and wrapping. Now, I'm afraid to order from anywhere online as the lids are not secure. Please, please go back to the screw-type caps so we can ship from places that sell this. I don't know where to find it on the shelves (no store seems to stock it, so my only option is to order online).

Final Review (after 6 months of regular use)
Based on my experiences, raw honey is vastly superior as far as health goes. As a sports supplement this can be useful (pure glucose = 100% glycogen). Definitely not a health supplement but its good for bodybuilding/sports if you want quick glycogen.

Previous response to reviews says production started again in February 2023 however I have not seen it in any stores and your website Is currently sold out. Have you paused production again???

Originally I gave this a 2/5. I’ve had more time to test it & am revising my review: 1st of all, this is the ONLY organic rice syrup sold in stores. I try to avoid foods with phytic acid (e.g, brown rice), especially liquids. Phytic acid moves with the food through the body. I certainly don’t want to coat my intestines in liquid that will prevent mineral absorption. Rice syrup is a fermented food. Fermentation has been proven to reduce phytic acid by 53-95% & also produce phytase (helps process phytates) So there’s a chance this syrup has only small amounts of anti-nutrients. It tastes like Raisin Bran, especially if you add milk to it. At first I thought it made me feel not as good as white rice syrup. But after more testing, they’re both good. It may not be my favorite, but it’s good. It’s organic from a good brand and sold in stores. It’s very good for bodybuilding & sports because rice syrup is the only sweetener in the world that is 100% glucose. Research glycogen & glucose if you don’t know about it.
